The first post of any blog or journal is usually the hardest, as you havent found, or even know, your voice and what you want to talk about. Most blogs nowadays seem to be all over the place with thoughts, and ideas. Not saying this is a bad idea, but if you want to keep or attract people to your blog, you need to cater to a certain group of people.
Why would you care about an audience? Well, why have a blog in the first place if you dont care if anyone reads it, you could write your thoughts in Word or Notepad and no one except yourself would see them. Or use a local Wiki for that matter.
The whole point writing online is to make a difference, either in yourself or in others through your writing and comments. And to do this you need to have that audience, and they need to like what you write about.
Ok you say, then what exactly is the voice for this new online writing? Simple, I dont know yet. I have ideas that need to be expressed, and they range from Politics to Technology, Single life to Married Life, Local events to International Crisises.
So I hope I have piqued some audience members enough that we can travel and learn together.
